THhis blog will be short because I dont know how much time I have. I wrote a blog this afternoon, but do not have a way to put it on this computer so I am starting over. I will post it eventually. Today has been great, second day alone, and to be honest I miss home a little bit. It still seems surreal that I am living here. I did find a Mass to go to, with only 3 others in the congregation...smallest Mass of my life! And, it was in Italian. Tonight Vittorio took me out to gelato, which was awesome. We had lots of rain, thunder and lightening.

Write me please, it gives me something to look forward to. I literally live in the middle of no where, with little to no company. But I guess the solitude is good, helps be reflect and focus on my spiritual life.

Love you all lots,
Tracie

  1. No company except for the donkeys and dirt bikes of course :-) It sounds like you're having an amazing time, Tracie. Rest assured the Laniers are following your blog and eagerly awaiting the next story while we live vicariously through you.

Enjoy the peaceful solitude and the free loading roommates...at least they don't make a lot of noise, right?

    Love you!

  3. Hey --
So I finally figured out how to respond to a blog! (I think)
We have absolutely LOVED reading about your adventures. This will be a summer to remember and tell your kids about (and Hada and Eli).
Love you lots - SMILE - enjoy Tuscany.

  4. Hi Tracie

Bon Jurno or Buenos Dias or Guten Tag or Hi!!

I just read all of your blogs. Amazing. We've been to Rome three times and we don't even come close to your discoveries and adventures. In fact your blog on the churches and relics of Rome was very educational and interesting.

Keep the anecdotes coming on how to survive in Italy. Great reading! Living in Tuscany in a Medieval castle doesn't get any better. OK bugs are optional. Being you, I can just picture you galloping across the Tuscany landscape with a great smile on your face.

Each thing you experience is something that very few of us can have or even came close to having that opportunity. This will be an amazing journey.

Keep us posted (or blogged). By the way this is also my very first blogging. Sort of fun.

    We love you.
Tom and my other blogging partner, aka Al.
